Overview

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a group of idiopathic chronic inflammatory intestinal conditions.

The two main disease categories are Crohn’s Disease (CD) and Ulcerative Colitis (UC), which both are long-term conditions that involve inflammation of the gut, affecting people of any age.

Almost half of the U.K population experience digestive discomfort. If you or anybody you know suffers from IBD, then you may be interested to know that we are looking for volunteers to take part in clinical trials to assess potential new gastroenterology medications.

We can help with transport to and from our clinics or reimburse you for reasonable travel expenses. Your participation could potentially help researchers find better treatments in the future, which will, in turn, help future generations.
