Overview

Do you have an unexplained or chronic cough?

We are looking for volunteers to take part in clinical trials.

Chronic cough is estimated to occur in up to 40% of the population.

Coughing from time to time expels foreign particles, microbes, and mucus from the lungs and helps to prevent infection. Cough for a minute or two and you may think something ‘has gone down the wrong pipe’ but after eight weeks or longer it is classed as a chronic cough.

Chronic cough is more than just an annoyance though, it interrupts sleep, produces fatigue, impairs your concentration and work performance. The longer it takes to diagnose, the more effect it has on frustration and anxiety.
