Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis and affects millions of people worldwide. It develops when the protective cartilage that cushions the ends of your bones wears down over time.

  • We are looking for volunteers to take part in clinical trials to better understand the condition and help find new treatments.
  • Eligible participants will receive a free health check and all study care will be provided at no cost to yourself.
  • Synexus can also help with transport to and from one of our clinics or reimburse reasonable travel expenses.

All Synexus trials are approved by an independent ethics committee.

A clinical trial offers an opportunity to help researchers find better treatments for others in the future.

Osteoarthritis can damage any joint, but most commonly affects the joints in your hands, knees, hips and spine. It causes inflexibility, pain and stiffness, which can be difficult to manage. People with this condition feel the pain differently, describing it for example as a dull persistent ache or sharp stabbing pains on movement, or both.
