Overview

Diabetes is a lifelong metabolic disorder that affects around 370 million adults worldwide. Type 2 diabetes is where the pancreas doesn’t produce enough insulin or the body’s cells don’t react to insulin. The symptoms typically leave you feeling thirsty, very tired, with the need to pass urine more frequently and if left untreated can cause serious health complications. Diabetes can also put an extra strain on your heart and increase the risk of having a heart attack or stroke, especially if you already have a cardiac risk factor.

If you live with type 2 diabetes, you’ll appreciate the importance of looking after your health very carefully, making lifestyle changes to minimise your risk of developing complications. If this is you, we would like to invite you to contact us to find out more about clinical trials into diabetic conditions.
