How are clinical trials regulated?

All clinical trials are regulated by approved governing bodies, to ensure the health and wellbeing of all patients participating.

A clinical trial can only be offered to our trial patients once it’s been approved by the UK Regulatory Agency, the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency), as well as an independent ethics committee whose job it is to ensure the rights, dignity and wellbeing of all trial patients, are not being compromised.

Last year in Synexus UK, 2,000 people took part in our approved clinical trials, with each patient known to our staff on first name terms and treated with patience, care and compassion.

During the trial, our highly trained and dedicated doctors and nurses will regularly assess you and your health using the approved guidelines and details in the trial protocol.
